Joss Naylor 1936-2024
Joss took part in the Lake District Mountain Trial 56 times in the period 1960 to 2021. The first time in 1960, he had not entered so was non-competitive but he went on to complete the Classic Trial 42 times and the Short Trial 10 times.
Joss won the Classic Mountain Trial a record 10 times in the years 1966, 1969, 1971-1977 and 1979.
He was a great supporter of The Trial and it was the one race that he continued to do right into his 80s.
